11u Metro Sixers - In Championship Game of MIT Tournament
February 20, 2012
The 5th Grade team played three tough games this weekend against (NY-New Heights, PV-Team Takeover). The team won it's pool and advanced to the Final Four playoffs. The first game in playoffs would be against DC Assault which they defeated to advance to the championship game against Team Takeover.
The Sixers previously defeated Team Takeover in pool play and this would be a rematch. The game was hard fought with the Sixers trailing most of the game. We had several runs that brought the team to within a couple points, but could never sustain the momentum. Team Takeover won the 2012 5th Grade Division.
Congratulations for a job well done!

10u Metro Sixers - Final Four in the MIT Tournament
Febraury 20, 2012
The 4th Grade team played three tough games this weekend against (NY-Swish City Magic; VA - Loudoun Triple Threat; PV -Team Takeover). The Sixers won their pool and advanced to the Final Four playoffs. The Sixers game would be against Team Glory who they previously defeated two weeks ago in the DMV winter league.
The Sixers defeated Team Glory and advanced to the semi-final against the New York Gauchos. Only to come up short in a loss. The game was very intense and a good test of what to come at the nationals this summer.
Congratulations for a job well done!
